CBS Streams The Price Is Right On Their Website

I grew up watching Bob Barker and The Price Is Right. If I was home from school in the morning, you can bet I found a way to watch The Price Is Right. It was fun watching Johnny Olson (RIP) cavorting with Barker’s Beauties in the Showcase Showdowns.

Now that Bob Barker has officially retired, and Drew Carey is now the host of this American institution called The Price Is Right, CBS has decided to stream The Price Is Right same day it airs. At 3pm Pacific, you can “Come on down!” to the CBS website and get your fix.

As is typical with streaming video sites run by the networks, the video includes un-skippable ads. However, the streaming version includes far less commercials than what you’d see if you watched it on TV. It was interesting that the actual show streamed just fine, but the commercials stuttered on my MacBook. Go figure.

I have to say, Drew did a great job hosting The Price Is Right. It was weird hearing Rich Fields say Drew Carey instead of Bob Barker, and even weirder seeing Drew Carey delivering Bob Barker’s classic “Have your pet spayed or neutered” line. I expect that weirdness will die down over time. Drew’s got some mighty big shoes to fill, but I think he’s up to the task.

Except Rich Fields wanted Johnny Olson’s job, so I doubt you’ll see him as host.

Let’s face it, all the REAL game show hosts are too old or dead. I do think John O’Hurley would be a good choice as well.

Drew Carey Has Got To Go, he’s corney and he laughs at his own stupid Jokes and he uses the on the nose saying to much and he’s very enoying. Please replace him for someone who’s much better.

I can’t–I won’t watch TPIR while Drew Carey is the host. He is so unappealing and dull. PLEASE FIND SOMEONE ELSE!!! John O’Hurley would have been perfect! I really don’t know what you were thinking when you decided on Drew Carey.
