A while ago, I was lamenting the fact that all the Facebook apps sucked. For the most part, that’s true. However, I think I found something that might actually last more than a minute or two: Scrabulous.
It’s Scrabble, but on Facebook. The nice thing is: you can invite any of your friends to play. You don’t all have to be online at the same time. You can just “play when you got a minute.” There’s chat on the page also, though I find the fonts excessively small even for my tastes.
It looks like the folks behind Scrabulous are running their own ads on the app. Thanks to NoScript, I don’t see those lovely ads, but I know they’re there. Makes me wonder if this is kosher with the Facebook terms of service or not.
Did I win this game? As I write this, I’m down 18 points and it’s the other person’s turn. Maybe I’ll get lucky and snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.
