Om’s Heart Skips A Beat–Quite Literally

An email from Andy Abramson informed me about another one of our brethren struck with heart trouble: Om Malik. From Om’s post today:

I had a heart attack on Dec. 28. I was able to walk into the hospital for treatment that night and have been recovering here ever since. With the support of my family and my team, I am on the road to a full recovery. I am going to be OK.

With the untimely death of Marc Orchant and now Om Malik’s brush with death, it is strengthening my resolve to get my own health in gear. I joined the local YMCA in late November and have been going 2-3 times a week to work out. Now I need to improve the quality of the food I consume.

Hope you recover well, Om. Not too fast, as we’d all like to see you among us for a few more decades. ;)
